It is such a rare honor and privilege to even "capture a moment" in photographic image, with this rara avis, a living representative of a beautiful and significantly endangered species (the Hawaiian NeNe): that in hesitation to make light or lore of it, given its plight and with respect for its banding as an invaluable protective measure in its study and care by human"kind" as endangered lifeform, words seem inadequate to the inherent independence and grace the bird embodies despite its having been "taken in" and "taken photo of," as it were.
But then the melody seems to persist in memory, though silent e-communique may be, before the little change in the song's lyric line, makes this "riposte" mine:
