FYI this booby is a FEMALE Blue-footed Booby (you can tell the sex by the large size of the iris - which in fact is dark pigment around the iris which makes it look bigger) and the spread-out sticks in the foreground show how simple the nest is. Only a few sticks on the bare ground. The display of the Blue-footed Booby includes the famous foot-lifting dancing and presenting sticks in the beak as "nesting material" to the female.
