Should Celebrities Go to Work for Climate Change?

The current outpouring of Haiti relief support from celebrities via PSAs, telethons etc is impressive. Now: What if all those celebrities put their voices to work for another devastating tragedy in the making? (The gargantuan one that's looming on a global scale.) Could celebrities help slow climate change? Post your comments here.

YES!
I definitely think that when celebrities lend their voice to a cause, it gets wider exposure and puts more people into action. They also help bring new people to the cause who may not have been aware of the issues before. I think, for whatever reason, people trust celebrities (most of them anyway), and if they can set a good example in the fight against climate change, we certainly have a better shot at slowing it.
Should Celebrities Go to Work for Climate Change?
Though Haiti is definitely a serious and sad tale, the potential impacts of climate change are greater. Rising sea levels could put millions in coastal and island areas at critical risk. Plus warming environments could push forests and wetlands northward. The trouble is most of our wildlife is bunched into parks and wilderness areas ringed with roads and development, and that development could stop wildlife dead. That's certainly a cause worth getting behind.

Interesting. I heard that the one of the biggest causes of climate change in the future will be our air travel, which although only contributes a small percentage of CO2 now, will grow by a phenomenal figure in the next 30 years. I guess online travel sites like Expedia will not tell you this, but there are hundreds of posts on climate change posted on blogs listed on travel index http://www.Dozentravel.com. I think they can. If more
I think they can. If more studies can be done, it will be better. memory foam mattress
