After the Gulf oil spill, the National Audubon Society set up a call center in Moss Point, Mississippi to help direct the 34,500 people who signed up to be part of cleanup efforts. Half a year later, volunteers still man the center and coordinate the tens of thousands who want to help. Here, the story of the Volunteer Response Center.
