Bird Madness: Soaring Sixteen #2

Categories:

For awhile it was too close to call, but it looks like the roadrunner image eked out a victory in our first round of Bird Madness. Thank you to all who voted!

For our next head to head, it’s a quartet of bluebirds versus a pileated woodpecker. Pick your favorite of the two, vote, then tell all your friends—virtual or otherwise. The winner of this matchup will go up against the hungry roadrunner during our Egret Eight round.

In case you missed the first round, here’s the deal: From now until the beginning of January 2013, we’ll be pitting some of the entries from this year’s Photo Awards (selected in no particular order) against one another for you to vote on. We’ll feature the winner on our website, along with an article about how she or he captured the shot.

In our Jan-Feb 2013 issue, we’ll feature the official winners of the awards, selected by our panel of judges.

I go along with the opinions of my parrots, who raise cain when they see one outside.

I have to admit the

I have to admit the woodpecker is the best photograph. However, being a true blue bluebird fan, I had to vote for the cold bluebirds. Sorry, you gorgeous Pileated.
